Getafe almost landed Pep

Pep Guardiola could have been preparing Getafe to face Barcelona this weekend if Angel Torres had been successful in his talks with the Catalan coach two seasons ago, as the Madrid club's president has revealed.

"Guardiola could have been the coach of Getafe 18 months ago," Torres told AS.

"There was a moment when Laporta wanted Michael Laudrup to take over at Barcelona and we in fact spoke about the possibility. I went there and spoke with his agent, Jose Maria Orobitg, on two occasions about it. Then things happened and Laporta made the decision that Guardiola would be promoted to take charge of the first team."

Furtermore Torres believe that his team is going to beat barcelona 2-0 on saturday clash.
